.Pharmacists have been "making" medicine for thousands of years but very few still follow this ancient art. The practice of putting drugs together to meet the specific needs of a patient (according to a Doctor's prescription) is called "Compounding".

At Millers we compound a wide range of medications for children, adults, and even animals (more on veterinary compounding here). Common dosage forms include capsules, lozenges (troches), transdermal gels, sterile eye drops and sterile injectables.

Our strength is our experience. As Pharmacists, we endeavor to find solutions to problems not addressed by commercially prepared drugs. On a given day we may formulate amino acids for a person with a deficiency disorder, chemotherapy in a pleasant tasting liquid for a child, a specialized combination of hormones for a woman going through menopause, an inhalation solution for a person with cancer and an antibiotic for a frog (a VERY small dose indeed).

Please call on us if you have a special need and would like us to work with your physician to find a practical and oft-times unique solution.
