What Substances are Toxic to Pets?

We love our pets at Millers & want to make sure they are kept safe!

Dog Toxins

According to The International Journal of Pharmaceutical Compounding  Pharmacists were given a list of 25 substances and asked to evaluate the potential toxicity of each for either a cat or dog.

 

15 true toxins 10 non-toxins were included in the list:

 

TOXINS

Acetaminophen

Allium (onions, garlic, chives)

Artificial sweeteners (xylitol)

Caffeine

Chocolate

DEET (insect repellent)

English Ivy

Ethanol

Grapes

Loratadine

Macadamia nuts

Moth balls

Nicotine

Sago palm

Tea tree oil

 

NON-TOXINS

Acorn squash

African violets

Bananas

Famotidine

Green beans

Leather

Paper

Pony tail palms

Pumpkin

Tomatoes
